Apologies once again for the lack of updates on our Caprese blog recently. A combination of work, beautiful weather and lack of time was the cause, honestly!
The weather has been fantastic here recently so barbecues have been the order of the day on our days off. Italian Sausage, Sirloin Steaks, huge Tiger Prawns have all been gracing our barbecue for the past few weeks and we’re preparing for another this coming Sunday weather permitting!
All this good weather is getting us right in the mood for holidays and we have our annual Capri get-together coming up very soon! Therefore, whilst we are sunning ourselves on the beach and devouring some delicious food on the beautiful island of Capri, we will be closed for business for a whole month! Our last night will be one week from this Saturday which is June 26th and we will return for business as normal on Monday 2nd August, hopefully beautifully tanned and relaxed! So please don’t worry if you walk past our doorway and the shutter is down, we need a holiday!
World Cup fever has returned once again and it brings back fantastic memories of four years ago when we were in Capri watching the Italian team lift the cup for the fourth time in their history. We still remember it vividly like it was yesterday. The atmosphere was electric, the car horns hooting, fireworks lit up the sky, all of the boats in the harbour sounding their horns whilst we stood on the roof with a bottle of champagne. It was a fantastic experience for all of us which we hope will be repeated this year, we’ll see 😉
