Here we are at the end of another busy week at The Caprese. Thank goodness it’s Sunday when we can relax for a day before starting all over again on Monday. Glasgow has been a hive of activity this past week due to the Pope’s visit to our lovely city. Sadly, he did not manage to come in for a plate of pasta as he was otherwise engaged but to be honest he would have been hard pushed to get a table that night, it was so busy! Chaos on the roads due to the high security and closure of major routes in and out of the city meant that most of our customers that evening were late in arriving for dinner and they eventually all turned up at the same time! No problem for Costanzo though who thrives under the pressure of 40 orders coming into the kitchen at the same time! A great night and the atmosphere was fantastic, hope everyone enjoyed themselves.
Last night we decided to get the camera out and capture some of the faces visiting us. Since we have been renovated, we have been careful not to pin photographs on the new walls and instead put them in frames but Costanzo decided that he missed the old Caprese and wanted it to look the way it used to look before the renovation. Therefore, all of the photos we had which hadn’t been damaged in the flood at Christmas have been stapled onto our lovely walls and it is looking more like The Caprese now, we like it! Since we will be closing our doors soon, we want to get as many photos as possible up on those walls so that every inch is covered with all the old and new faces that visit us. If anyone has any photos taken in The Caprese, please feel free to send them to us and we will add you to our “gallery” before we close. Below are some of our customers who visited last night and they will be on our walls very shortly. Hope we see you all very soon and had a great time last night.
