What a manic night we had last night! Full house, not a seat spare and we enjoyed every minute of it. So sorry to those customers who phoned up late for a table and we had to turn you away but we really did not have space to swing a cat last night! It was, after all, our final weekend before our finale week begins! Lots of customers saying goodbye last night, many of whom have been coming to us for years so it got a bit tearful. One of them, Mrs Bradley, was still there after midnight saying she couldn’t bear to open the door to leave for the final time! We will see you soon Mr and Mrs Bradley, and all of you who came in last night, The Millers, The McIndoe’s, The Thompsons from Kelvinside Garage, The Gallachers, The Galls who were celebrating Susie’s birthday, Fraser Park who booked a table for 2 and ended up with 6 at his table, Mr and Mrs Wright our lovely black cab taxi driver who always tells his customers to come to us, thank you! , The Davidson’s and The Graham’s our lovely after concert hall customers who travel a long way to be with us (what will they do without our mints to play their “who can make their mint last the longest on the journey home? game, The Pitt Family, The Russells who have had this night booked for a long time, the list goes on and I apologise if I haven’t mentioned you if you were in last night, the tiredness has temporarily erased my memory!
Really looking forward to next week although it is going to be a marathon for all of us. Thank you all so much for your kind messages and best wishes for our future. We are sure that when we open up again that you will all be with us for our new beginning. To all of you who have given your email addresses, we will keep in touch with what is happening but please subscribe to the blog in the meantime where you will have sneaky peeks at our new place as it begins its transformation from just another restaurant into our own little place. Thanks again everyone and see you all soon hopefully!
